Question:331 Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for Health if he will outline his plans for the continued funding of the community alert scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Community Alert Scheme Funding.
Officials of my Department met with representatives of Muintir na Tíre in December last to discuss proposals to extend their community alert system for the elderly to other parts of the country. Muintir na Tíre have since made a formal application for assistance from the national lottery for this purpose. This application will be considered for assistance this year.
