Question:175 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Health if, in the exercise of his statutory function, he will initiate a public inquiry into the death of a person (details supplied) in County Louth who died on 22 October 1990, three weeks after she gave birth; if his attention has been drawn to the substantial public disquiet in relation to this matter; if, in the interest of interested parties he will initiate a public inquiry so that important questions raised at the inquest can be clearly established and defined so that the public disquiet referred to can be clarified; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
