Question:66 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to an application for funding from the national lottery in respect of Shannon Pot development; if he will give favourable consideration to the application; when the allocation will be granted; and the amount thereof.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 16 and 66 together.
Unsuccessful applications were made in respect of these projects under the amenities/recreational facilities grant scheme 1990.
As indicated in my reply to Questions Nos. 290, 301, 311 and 329 of 30 January 1991 there will be a further scheme this year, funded from the national lottery surplus. It will be open to the sponsors of the projects in question to re-apply under the new scheme.
