Question:

37 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline the details of the office premises expenses of his Department in 1990; and the proposed expenditure and details thereof for 1991.

The provisional outturn of expenditure for my Department in respect of office premises expenses in 1990 was £741,857. The expenses relate to 51 premises, including 47 driving test centres. The expenditure was incurred as follows:

A sum of £725,000 has been provided in the Estimates for 1991 for office premises expenses. It is not possible to give details at this stage.
