Vol. 404 No. 9

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

John Bruton

Question:

133 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a grant under the beef subsidy scheme was applied for by a person (details supplied) in County Meath; if the application is in order; and if so, the reason it has not been paid.

This applicant's application under the 1990 special beef premium scheme has been processed, is in order for payment and will be paid shortly.

There is no particular delay in payment.

John Bruton

Question:

134 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Meath applied for a farm pollution grant; if the works have been inspected and approved; if so, the reason the grant has not yet been paid.

The approval in this case issued on 23 May 1990 and the final inspection took place on 28 November 1990. In the usual course the grant would have been paid within four to six weeks but, unfortunately, the case was overlooked and payment has not yet been made. It will now be paid inside the next week.
