Vol. 404 No. 9

Written Answers. - Millstreet (Cork) Vocational School Repair.

Frank Crowley

Question:

204 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Education if there is an allocation of money available for the repair of the old vocational school, Millstreet, County Cork; and her views on whether the school should be made a primary school.

Michael Creed

Question:

211 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Education when work on the repair and restoration of the old vocational school at Killarney Road, Millstreet, County Cork will commence.

I propose taking Questions Nos. 204 and 211 together.

The question of the refurbishment of the former vocational school in Millstreet, County Cork to accommodate the boys' national school is at present under consideration in the light of submissions made by local interests. A decision will be conveyed to the school authorities at an early date.

I am not in a position at this stage to say when works will commence.
