Question:17 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Education if she will outline her proposals to provide proper accommodation at Westport vocational school, County Mayo; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

In October, 1990 I sanctioned the provision of four classrooms for this school. However, the vocational education committee have recently submitted an alternative proposal for the provision of the required accommodation in a more permanent type of building. This proposal is currently being examined in my Department and a response will be conveyed to the VEC as soon as possible.
