43 Tomás Mac Giolla asked the Minister for Education if she will outline her proposed timetable for the (1) consultation process, (2) Green Paper, (3) White Paper and (4) Education Act to which she and the Primary Education Review Body have referred; and when she will issue a public invitation to interested persons/groups to participate in the consultation process.
I have previously indicated that I would hope to be in a position to issue a Green Paper by the early summer. The Green Paper will be a discussion document affording the opportunity to all parties to offer views. In the light of responses to the Green Paper I would envisage the preparation and publication of a White Paper by spring 1992. I would then hope to bring forward legislation by the end of 1992.
