Question:138 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Finance the reason a person (details supplied) in Dublin 7, who left work following heart surgery, did not receive a tax rebate.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that a PAYE balancing statement for the current tax year, 1990-91 was issued by the inspector of taxes to the taxpayer on 7 February 1991, followed by a cheque in settlement for £81.64 on 13 February 1991.
