243 Mr. D. Wallace asked the Minister for Justice the length of time it takes to process an application for a first registration of title in the Land Registry; and if he has any proposals to reorganise the Land Registry so as to provide a better service for the public.
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that it takes, on average, 14 months to complete an application for first registration which is in order and does not necessitate the raising of queries.
My proposals for the reorganisation of the Land Registry were indicated in my reply to Dáil Questions Nos. 24 and 69 on 5 February 1991.
