Vol. 405 No. 3

Written Answers. - Children with Dyslexia.

Bernard Allen

Question:

313 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Education the number of dyslexic cases in Ireland; and the plans he has to deal with the problem.

Statistical information is not available in relation to the number of children with reading difficulties resulting specifically from dyslexia.

The approach which is being taken in relation to children with reading problems, is indicated in my reply on 13 February, 1991 to Question No. 89 tabled by the Deputy.
