Question:322 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Education if she will give a breakdown of the amount of money her Department intends to spend on consultancy services in 1991; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Departmental Expenditure on Consultancy Services.
A sum of £449,000 has been provided for consultancy services in the Department of Education in 1991 and it is intended that the amount will be expended on the following ongoing projects: 1. Computerisation of Examinations. 2. First Level Teachers Database. 3. Second Level Pupils-Schools Administration. 4. Primary and Post-Primary Unit Cost Study. 5. Third Level Unit Cost Study. 6. VEC and VPTP Unit Cost Study. 7. In-Service Training Study. 8. Study of the School Transport System in conjunction with Departments of Transport, Tourism & Communications. 9. Financial Procedures. 10. Conciliation and Mediation. 11. Regional Sports Centres. 12. Public Relation Services in relation to Sport.
At this stage it is not possible to say what the breakdown of expenditure on these projects will be.
