Vol. 405 No. 3

Written Answers. - Departmental Expenditure on Consultancy Services.

Dick Spring

Question:

327 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Tourism, Transport and Communications if he will give a breakdown of the amount of money his Department intends to spend on consultancy services in 1991; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A sum of £391,000 for consultancy services this year is provided under subhead A2 of the Tourism, Transport and Communications Vote. Payments will be made from this subhead for consultants' advice on certain aspects of the work of my Department, including information technology and corporate finance. In addition payments will be made for technical assistance in the areas of air navigation, road haulage and broadcasting.

It is not possible at this stage to give a detailed breakdown of the sum of £391,000.
