75 Mr. Power asked the Minister for Finance if he will invite the county development teams from the non-designated counties to the annual meetings of the designated counties which are organised by the central development committee of his Department.
The western development system, which is co-ordinated on my behalf by the central development committee, was established to address the special structural economic problems of the west of Ireland. This continues to be the function of the system, and it would, therefore, be inappropriate to invite county development teams from outside the area to attend the annual general meetings of the system.
