84 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason an application for an additional milk quota under the Mulder scheme was refused to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There is no record of an application under the "Mulder" scheme having been received from the person named.

I understand, however, that the person concerned applied to the milk quota Appeals Tribunal for an additional quota allocation from the one million gallon reserve which I set aside for hardship cases but that this application was unsuccessful as his present quota exceeded the gallonage ceiling fixed by the tribunal.
