85 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a control of farmyard pollution grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

86 Mr. Connor asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in payment of 1990 cattle headage and other grants to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon; and the date payments will now be made.

This applicant has already been paid his grants under the 1990 beef cow and equines headage scheme. His application under the 1990 special beef premium is being processed at present and payments will issue shortly. He has been deemed ineligible under the normal 1990 suckler cow scheme as he is a milk supplier but an application may be accepted under the EC suckler cow scheme for small scale milk producers if his quota is less than 12,819 gallons. There was no particular delay in payment.

87 Mr. Connor asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a cattle headage and other livestock grants in respect of 1990 will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

This applicant has already been paid his 1990 cattle and equines headage scheme grant. His suckler cow and special beef premium schemes grants are being processed and will issue shortly.

88 Mr. Connor asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in payment of a 1990 headage grant to a person (details supplied) in County Galway; and when payment will be made.

Payments are not being made to this applicant under the 1989 and 1990 cattle and equines headage schemes because of a dispute in regard to an alleged breach of the animal health regulations which is subject to legal action by the applicant.

105 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in payment of a cattle headage grant to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim.

I propose taking Questions Nos. 89, 101 and 105 together.

These applicants have already been paid their grants under the 1990 cattle and equines headage scheme. Their applications under the 1990 suckler cow premium scheme are being processed at present and payment will issue shortly. They did not apply under the 1990 special beef premium scheme. There was no particular delay in payment.

The person named is not the registered owner of the herd number quoted. However, the registered owner of that herd number has already been paid his 1990 cattle and equines headage scheme grant. His 1990 special beef premium payment is being processed and will issue shortly.
