131 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Justice if it is his intention to downgrade a Garda station (details supplied) in County Tipperary; if he will outline his intentions for the future of this station; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
As I indicated in my reply to Question No. 199 on 24 October 1990, there are no plans to close, or downgrade, or reduce the services provided by any rural Garda station. The station in question will continue to play a central role in the policing arrangements for the sub-district it serves.
