80 Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for Education if she will give details of the schemes available for the provision of youth workers; the number who are employed on such schemes by her Department in each electoral area of Dublin County Borough; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
Grants are payable by my Department under the youth service grant scheme and the disadvantaged youth grant scheme to youth organisations, community groups, etc., which employ youth workers. The precise statistical information sought by the Deputy is not readily available in my Department. Youth workers are not employed directly by my Department.
