Vol. 405 No. 9

Written Answers. - Regional Airports Development.

Michael Moynihan

Question:

211 Mr. Moynihan asked the Minister for Tourism, Transport and Communications if, in view of his statement that £10 million will be available for the development of regional airports in 1991, he will outline the proportion of this sum which will be allocated to the County Kerry airport at Farranfore.

An application for assistance under the Operational Programme on Peripherality for the further development of Kerry Airport was furnished to my Department on 1 March. This application is currently under consideration in conjunction with the applications for assistance from the other regional airports concerned.

I hope to be in a position to decide on the allocation to each of these airports, including Kerry Airport, shortly.
