Question:

11 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for the Environment if he will provide funds in 1991 for the provision of a sewerage scheme at Cheekpoint, County Waterford to facilitate the present occupants of the village, and to allow for further housing developments; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Contract documents for this scheme are with my Department. Having regard to the existing level of capital commitments and the competing demands for high priority schemes, it is not possible to say when the scheme can be approved to go to tender.
