18 Mr. Stafford asked the Minister for the Environment if he will consider the implementation of a special grant to help those people of Sheriff Street, Dublin 1, who are included in the detenanting programme, to purchase their own homes.

The plan for social housing recently published by me contains a range of options to improve access to home ownership which may be availed of by local authority tenants, including the tenants of these flats who may not wish to be rehoused by Dublin Corporation.
