44 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received an application for a grant of £300,000 towards a European centre for travellers at Castlehackett, Belclare, County Galway; if he proposes to make this grant available; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Approval, subject to certain conditions, issued to a grant of up to £200,000 towards the acquisition of premises at Castlehackett, Belclare, Tuam, County Galway for the purpose mentioned. I understand that this acquisition may not proceed and that alternative premises are being considered.
