Question:43 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the amount of damage being done to motor vehicles by the condition of roads in Ireland.

While I am aware that damage may be caused to motor vehicles by roads which are in poor condition, I do not have detailed information on the amount of such damage. Responsibility for the maintenance of public roads rests with the local authorities.
