Vol. 406 No. 3

Written Answers. - Cork Third Level Education Facilities.

Bernard Allen

Question:

272 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Education if she has any plans to set up a third level college on the north side of Cork city in order to reduce, in some small way, the imbalance of social services in Cork.

Cork City is already well served by third level educational institutions.

Third level education participation for Cork is above average as reflected in the Clancy Report Who Goes to College, Table 22. Cork has the highest overall figure for participation in university.
