Vol. 406 No. 4

Written Answers. - Land Registry.

Michael D. Higgins

Question:

116 Mr. M. Higgins asked the Minister for Justice if he will outline the rights of redress which are available to a person (details supplied) in County Galway who has been the victim of a false entry in the Land Registry, in relation to a property holding in Tuam, County Galway.

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the person referred to by the Deputy has been informed that the Land Registry acted correctly in this matter and in accordance with the documentation lodged by the solicitor having carriage of the particular transaction. He was further informed of the procedures available to him if he felt aggrieved by an order or decision of the Registrar.
