53 Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for Education if an application has been received from Monard national school, County Tipperary, for the provision of a grant towards the installation of photocopying facilities for the infants class; if she will approve this application; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
Monard national school has applied for a grant towards the purchase of a photo copier. However, it has not been possible to assist the school because of the limit on funding available for such purposes at present.
As the Deputy will be aware the primary education review body addressed the question of equipment in schools. My Department will be giving consideration to the points raised in this report.
