Question:54 Mr. Pattison asked the Minister for Education if there are any plans to expand vocational training opportunities scheme to those VEC areas which at present do not have them.
Written Answers. - Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme.
I plan to approve additional vocational training and opportunities scheme groups to operate from next autumn. The allocation of the groups has not been decided yet. In deciding on the allocation of groups, I will be taking account of the number of long term unemployed in various areas and the potential for a viable group being established.
