Vol. 406 No. 4

Written Answers. - University Fees.

Bernard Allen

Question:

56 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Education if she will make the necessary finance available to University College, Cork, so they can avoid raising student fees by 8 per cent.

The level of fees charged by the universities is a matter for the governing bodies of the individual colleges. However, I understand the increase referred to by the Deputy was decided by the governing body of UCC in order to bring their level of fees into line with the general level of university fees.
