Question:

128 Mr. Moynihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food whether any applications have been made to his Department for compensation arising from storm and flood damage during January, 1991, and if any payments have been made to date.

My information indicates very little fodder, crop or livestock loss in the recent storm. As a result it is not intended to introduce a scheme this year and farmers making inquiries have been advised accordingly.
