John Connor

Question:

132 Mr. Connor asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the long delay in processing for payment a 1990 livestock headage and other grants for a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon; and when exactly these payments will be made.

Both applicants named have already been paid their grants under the 1990 cattle and equines headage and special beef premium schemes, while the first applicant named has also been paid his grants under the 1990 suckler cow premium scheme. They are due no further 1990 cattle grants and there was no particular delay in making their payments.

133 Mr. Connor asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the long delay in processing for payment a 1990 livestock headage grant due to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon; and when payment will be made.

This applicant's 1990 suckler cow and special beef premium payments are being processed and will issue shortly.

Payment under the 1990 beef cow and equines scheme will not be made until the applicant complies fully with the requirements of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966.

Liam Hyland

Question:

134 Mr. Hyland asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when an installation aid grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Laois.

It is hoped to have this grant paid within the next three to four weeks.

John O'Leary

Question:

135 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a depopulation grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.

The depopulation grant due to the person named will be paid in the near future.

Michael Finucane

Question:

136 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a suckler cow grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

This applicant did not apply under the 1990 suckler cow provision scheme. He has already been paid his grants under the 1990 cattle and equines headage and special beef premium schemes.

Austin Deasy

Question:

137 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in payment of a depopulation grant to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo in respect of the period November 1990 to February 1991; and when payment will be made.

The person named is not due a depopulation grant. However income supplement for the months of November and December 1990, and January 1991 will be paid within the next three weeks; payment for February 1991 will be made in due course.

The delay in payment is due to the volume of work in the local district veterinary office.

Austin Deasy

Question:

138 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in payment of a special beef premium and a suckler cow grant to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford in view of the fact that same have been sent to Dublin for payment for some time; and when payment will now issue.

There was a slight delay in paying the 1990 special beef premium in this case, due to administrative difficulties. Payment will, however, issue shortly, as will the payment of the 1990 suckler cow premium, in which there was no particular delay.
