Vol. 407 No. 2

Written Answers. - Government Buildings.

Dick Spring

Question:

19 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Finance if he has any plans to extend the refurbishment and restoration of the facade of Government Buildings to the facades of other public buildings in their immediate vicinity including the National Gallery, the National History Museum, the National Museum, the National Library and Leinster House; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The facades of all public buildings including the National Gallery, the National History Museum, the National Museum, the National Library and Leinster House are kept under constant review by the Office of Public Works. This monitoring allows an ongoing programme of works to be devised to meet whatever requirements arise, subject to availability of funds.
