Question:174 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for the Environment whether, in relation to the allocation of funding for major road development as outlined by him on 6 March 1991 (a) plans have been submitted for the Ennis by-pass linking the main Limerick and Galway Roads on the main N18 artery (b) if any plans exist to relieve the chaotic congestion on the present circuitous route linking the Limerick Road and the Galway Road via the southern perimeter of the town of Ennis known as Clonroadmore and (c) the failure to submit plans for the construction of the vital by-pass on the N18 at Ennis will deny the Clare County Council funding for the project from the special grant scheme made available by the EC.
