196 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health if he will list the (a) commercial, (b) non-commercial bodies and (c) the non-directly elected local or regional authorities under the aegis of his Department.

The information sought by the Deputy in relation to the statutory bodies under the aegis of my Department is as follows: (a) Commercial bodies under the aegis of the Department of Health — Voluntary Health Insurance Board; (b) Non-Commercial bodies under the aegis of the Department of Health — An Bord Altranais, An Bord Uchtála, Beaumont Hospital Board, Blood Transfusion Service Board, Bord na Radharcmhastóirí, Central Council of the Federated Dublin Voluntary Hospitals, Comhairle na hOspidéal, Comhairle na Nimheanna, Cork Hospital Board, Dental Council, Drug Treatment Centre Board, Dublin Dental Hospital Board, General Medical Services Payments Board, Health Research Board, Hospital Bodies Administrative Bureau, Hospital Trust Board, Joint Expert Advisory Committee on Food and Zoonotic Diseases, Leopardstown Park Hospital Board, Medical Council, National Cancer Registry, National Council for the Elderly, National Drugs Advisory Board, National Health Council, National Rehabilitation Board, National Social Services Board, Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland, Postgraduate Medical and Dental Board, St. James's Hospital Board, St. Laurence's Hospital Board, St. Luke's and St. Anne's Hospital Board, Tallaght Hospital Board, Therapeutic Substances Advisory Committee; (c) Non directly elected local or regional authorities under the aegis of the Department of Health — *Eastern Health Board, *Midland Health Board, *Mid Western Health Board, *North Eastern Health Board, *North Western Health Board, *South Eastern Health Board, *Southern Health Board, *Western Health Board,

*A number of members of these bodies are appointed having been elected as representatives of the practising medical and ancillary professions in the appropriate health board areas.
