Question:

98 Mr. Garland asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if his attention has been drawn to the problems which a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 is having in obtaining documents from his Department and to the fact that he received correspondence from his Department stating that these documents were made available, which is not so; if his attention has further been drawn to the correspondence from Deputy Garland in this matter on 23 January 1991, 11 February 1991, 12 March 1991 and 20 March 1991 which has not been replied to; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Department has already made available the relevant documents in this case for inspection by the applicant or his solicitor. They are prepared to make them available again if the parties so wish.

The delay in replying to the Deputy's correspondence earlier is regretted.
