I propose to take Questions Nos. 109 and 111 together. CERT is allowed to charge fees for services provided to businesses in Ireland. It provides a wide range of professional services to all sectors of the tourism industry. These can be broadly categorised into business and technical advisory services, external courses for managers and supervisors and technical skills training on an in-company basis for industry personnel.
The organisations which utilise CERT's services include hotels, restaurants, catering operations and tourism businesses. The Departments of Justice, Health, Defence and the Taoiseach have also used CERT's services as do the Office of Public Works.
The amounts collected in fees in each of the last two years were as follows: 1989, £239,000; 1990, £308,000.
