Vol. 407 No. 8

Written Answers. - County Dublin School Transport.

Nora Owen

Question:

75 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Health if she will arrange to have the school bus currently serving Balbriggan Loreto Convent from Clonalvy, extended to pick up the ten pupils in Ferristown, County Dublin, who have had to change to this school as neither the Loreto, Swords, or Sacred Heart School, Drogheda can offer places for them.

The pupils in question live in the Swords catchment area but may, under the terms of the post-primary school transport scheme, be facilitated with incidental transport to Balbriggan. Such facility would be operated from the nearest pick-up point within the Balbriggan catchment boundary, provided accommodation is available on the relevant service and that no extra State cost is incurred as a result.
