Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael P. Kitt

Question:

121 Mr. M. Kitt asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a sheep subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

There are no outstanding sheep subsidies due to the person named. The final instalment of the 1990 ewe premium was paid to him on 22 April 1991.

Charles Flanagan

Question:

122 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if, having regard to the circumstances, surrounding the disposal of cattle, the application of a person (details supplied) in County Laois for a special beef premium will be reviewed favourably.

This applicant has been deemed ineligible for payment of grants under the 1990 special beef premium as he did not maintain the number of animals on which he applied for premium for two months as required under the terms and conditions of the scheme. He disposed of seven cattle before the minimum two months retention period had expired and there were no special circumstances involved.
