Allocation of Time: Motion.

I move:

That, notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders——

(1) the hour at which business is to be interrupted on Tuesday, 21st May and Wednesday, 22nd May shall be 10.30 p.m.;

(2) the Seanad amendments to the Adoption Bill, 1990, shall be considered forthwith and the proceedings thereon shall be brought to a conclusion without debate by one question which shall be put from the Chair and which shall, in relation to amendments thereto, include only amendments set down by the Minister for Health; and

(3) in the case of the Finance Bill, 1991

(i) motions for Financial Resolutions taken in connection therewith shall be moved together and shall be decided by one Question and without debate;

(ii) (a) the proceedings on the Third Stage, if not previously concluded, shall be brought to a conclusion at 10.30 p.m. on Wednesday, 22nd May, and

(b) the Fourth and Fifth Stages shall be taken on Thursday, 23rd May, and the proceedings thereon, if not previously concluded, shall be brought to a conclusion at 5 p.m. on that day

by one Question in each case which shall be put from the Chair and which shall, in relation to amendments, include only amendments set down by the Minister for Finance; provided that nothing in this Resolution shall preclude the recommittal of the Bill, either wholly or in respect of certain sections or amendments, on motion made by the Minister for Finance or such other member as he may authorise in that behalf, at any time prior to Fifth Stage."
