102 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Labour if he will outline in respect of each Government Department and each State agency (1) the total number of persons with a disability employed (2) the proportion which this represents of the total staff and (3) the proportion of persons recruited in the past three years who had a disability.

The information requested by the Deputy is presented in the form of a tabular statement and is in respect of the years ending 31 December, 1987, 1988 and 1989, the latest years for which statistics are available. The small numbers recruited in the three years concerned are a reflection of the embargo in recruitment in the public service generally during the period.
