Vol. 409 No. 1

Written Answers. - National League for the Blind Funding.

Joe Sherlock

Question:

136 Mr. Sherlock asked the Minister for Health if he will outline the amount which his Department gave to the National League for the Blind in each of the years between 1987 and 1990; and the amount which each health board gave to the National League for the Blind or local branches of that organisation in the same years.

As the National League for the Blind is essentially a trade union representing blind workers employed by the board for the employment of the blind, it does not receive grants from either my Department or the health boards.
