Question:

35 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Defence if having regard to the reply given by the Minister for Finance to Parliamentary Question No. 61 of 28 October 1987 and Question No. 41 of 29 May 1991 regarding the Top Level Appointments Committee he will outline in relation to the posts of Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Assistant Secretary and departmental, professional and general equivalents in his Department (1) the names and date of appointment of all those currently serving whether under the TLAC system or otherwise, the number not appointed under the TLAC system, and the projected date of retirement on the basis of contract or age, (2) the number of those appointed at Assistant Secretary level who are remunerated on a performance basis and those not so remunerated, (3) the number so appointed in each year from 1987 to date and (4) the date the new administrative budget system was agreed for the period 1991-93 with the Minister for Finance; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The information sought is contained in a tabular statement which I propose to circulate in the Official Report.
