Written Answers. - Tallaght (Dublin) Footbridge.

Question:

143 Mr. Taylor asked the Minister for the Environment when the second bridge urgently needed over the Western Parkway at Tymon Park, Tallaght, Dublin 24 will be constructed; if he will ensure that it is constructed with a safety mesh to prevent stones and heavy objects being thrown over the bridge onto passing vehicles by vandals; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The second footbridge over the Western Parkway Motorway at Tymon Park is at present under construction and will be completed by mid-August. I understand that the local authority are developing proposals for the bridge parapets to prevent objects being thrown from the bridge.
