Vol. 411 No. 1

Written Answers. - Louth Roads Funding.

Michael Bell

Question:

426 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for the Environment if he has any plans to provide the necessary funding for Louth County Council's plan for traffic at the village of Collon, County Louth; and the reason for the delay in making the necessary finance available.

A road grant of £30,000 has been allocated to Louth County Council in the current year to finance the provision of traffic route lighting and a pedestrian crossing at Collon. Implementation of the works is a matter for the local authority. I understand that an order for the public lighting has been placed with the ESB and that work is expected to commence in the coming months.
