Vol. 411 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Madeleine Taylor-Quinn

Question:

448 Mrs. Taylor-Quinn asked the Minister for the Environment if he will issue a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Clare; and the reason for the delay.

The £2,000 new house grant has been paid. The "builders" grant of £2,250, payable to the builder unless otherwise assigned, cannot be paid as an assignment of the grant by the builder to the applicant is in dispute. It is a matter for the parties involved to resolve this dispute and so enable the grant to be paid.
