Question:

130 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Education the number of secondary schools which have the following subjects on the curriculum (a) woodwork, (b) woodwork and mechanical drawing, (c) metalwork, (d) metalwork and mechanical drawing, (e) woodwork, metalwork and mechanical drawing, (f) building construction, (g) engineering, (h) technology, (i) computer studies, and (j) other technical subjects.

The information required by the Deputy is given in tabular form underneath. He will note that, to give a clear picture of the situation as regards the provision of technical subjects in post-primary schools, I have included data on all the possible combinations in which these subjects are provided.
