Vol. 411 No. 5

Written Answers. - Local Authority Housing.

Michael Ferris

Question:

25 Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for the Environment the total number of local authority houses built in each of the past three years; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Bernard Allen

Question:

62 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline (1) the number of local authority houses completed in 1989 and 1990 and (2) the number due to be completed in 1991.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 25 and 62 together.

The number of units of accommodation added to the local authority housing stock in the past three years was: 1988, 1,450; 1989, 768; 1990, 1,003.

The number projected for 1991 is 1,300.
