65 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for the Environment if he has approved a grant of £200,000 towards the provision of a European Centre for Travellers at Coolarne, Turloughmore, County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I approved a grant of up to £200,000 towards the acquisition of premises at Coolarne, Turloughmore, County Galway for use as a European Centre for Travellers. The grant was to supplement assistance from the EC Commission. I understand that the promoters are not now proceeding with the acquisition of these premises.
