Vol. 412 No. 1

Written Answers. - County Cork School Transport.

Bernard Allen

Question:

142 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Education when she will authorise school transport for a person (details supplied) in County Cork, especially in view of the commitments given to parents in that area when Chimneyfield national school was closed down several years ago that all children from the catchment area of Chimneyfield national school would be accommodated with school transport to the Glenville School.

Burnfort national school is the appropriate school for the children in question for transport purposes. Concessionary fare-paying transport to Glenville national school has been allowed subject to the usual conditions regarding accommodation being available on the service and no extra cost being incurred.
