Vol. 412 No. 7

Written Answers. - Social Welfare Benefits.

Charles Flanagan

Question:

61 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Social Welfare when a decision will be made on the old age pension appeal of a person (details supplied) in County Offaly.

The person concerned claimed an old age non-contributory pension and following investigation his claim was disallowed on the grounds that his means exceeded the statutory limit for receipt of pension.

He appealed this decision to the independent social welfare appeals officer. The case has been listed for oral hearing and will be heard at the earliest possible date.
