Question:

129 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education the average cost per annum, to the State, of (1) a child attending primary school (2) a pupil attending second level school and (3) a student attending a third level college/university.

The estimated amounts of State expenditure, excluding capital expenditure, on education for 1991 on a per capita basis per sector are as follows: First-Level £950; Second-Level £1,550; Third-Level £3,425.
